WHITE CHALK PAINT® WAX - 120mL
Annie Sloan CHALK PAINT® WAX
Use Chalk Paint® Wax to seal and protect furniture, cabinets and other items painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint®. Chalk Paint® Wax emphasizes depth of color and gives a beautiful soft, smooth, matte finish. It can alternatively be buffed to a high sheen. It is water-repellent too, so it can be used on dining room tables and kitchen cabinets.
How to Apply Dark Wax
Dark Wax is a deep and rich warm brown that can be used to achieve that aged or antique finish. Use directly on paint for a rich and darkened finish. To do so, apply a thin coat of wax over your painted surface with a Chalk Paint® Wax Brush. Work in small areas at a time, wiping off any excess with a clean cloth. Buff your finished piece to achieve a high sheen finish or leave to maintain a smooth matte finish. OR apply a coat of clear wax first (as described) to preserve the paint color, then apply a coat of Dark Wax to achieve an aged look.
For complete instructions, see page 2 of Annie Sloan's Getting Start Guide.
Note: Chalk Paint® Wax is not suitable for outdoor use. Use Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint Lacquer - a polyacrylic topcoat well-suited to outdoor applications.
Made with a combination of natural carnauba and beeswax, the wax is the consistency of a soft margarine so it is easy to apply. It is completely colorless and has little odor.
Aftercare for waxed pieces
After care: wipe clean with a damp cloth. For tough marks, use a light cleaner and re-wax only where necessary.
